Sixty-Year-Old Man Dies In Fire

Jean Noël Langue, 62 years old, also known as Roulo, met a tragic end in a fire late Friday afternoon, October 21. This sixty-year-old, who lived in Cité Kennedy, Quatre-Bornes, perished burned in his bed after a fire broke out in his house.

It was shortly before 6:50 pm this Friday, October 21, that a fire alarm was given in this house at Avenue La Confiance, Cité Kennedy, Quatre-Bornes. Firefighters from the fire station of Quatre-Bornes and technicians from the Central Electricity Board went to the scene of the fire. The body of Jean Noël Langue was discovered completely charred in his bed, after the fire was brought under control.

The body of this man was subsequently transported to the morgue of the Victoria Hospital, Candos for an autopsy. The autopsy, performed by Dr. Prem Chamane, Principal Police Medical Officer, attributed his death to excessive burns.

The funeral of Jean Noël Langue took place this Saturday afternoon, October 22 at 1:30 pm. After the funeral ceremony at the Chapel of Saint Luc in Cité Kennedy, Quatre-Bornes. He was then buried in the cemetery of Saint Jean.

An investigation has been opened at the police station of Quatre-Bornes to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
