Lesjongard: Wednesday Gathering In Port-Louis Was A Regional One

Must Read

Joe Lesjongard, President of the Mouvement Socialiste Militant, faced the press yesterday afternoon to speak about the various meetings of May Day. He was alongside representatives of the various partners of the MSM in the government alliance.

Joe Lesjongard said he is totally satisfied with the crown gathered in Vacoas. “It was much more important that that in Port-Louis. It was not just MSM supporters who turned out in large numbers in Vacoas, but all sections of the population,” he added.

The MSM Minister also criticised the interventions of Navin Ramgoolam and Paul Bérenger. He described as dangerous the three-quarters majority demanded by the MMM leader in order to make changes to the Constitution. He made a parallel with that happened in 2014. Maneesh Gobin did the same thing afterwards. “We are back to Ramgoolam President of the Republic and Bérenger Prime Minister. They want to come once again with their Second Republic Project,” the two Ministers said.

All the orators criticized two observers on a radio who said that the crowd in Port-Louis was better than in Vacoas.
