In Coromandel: Three Suspects Arrested For Doctor’s Dome Burglary

The men of Inspector Rajcoomar Seewoo of the Special Cell of the Special Supporting Unit (SSU) have arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning May 25 three individuals who are suspected of being the perpetrators of a burglary at the home of a doctor in Coromandel. During this robbery committed on Friday, May 20, these thugs, Olivier Jules, 38 years old, living in Coromandel, Kumar Seedoyal, 30 years old and his brother Bhoosham Seedoyal, 33 years old, both residents of Chébel, Beau-Bassin were arrested. Among the items that were stolen, these police officers recovered a 6.35 caliber Star brand revolver.

It was on Saturday, May 21, that this 72 year old doctor in private practice, living on Route Royale, Beau-Bassin, went to the Coromandel police station to report a burglary at his home. During his absence, thieves broke into his home and stole a gun, a television set, bottles of whiskey, a cell phone and a digital video recorder.

It is on the basis of certain information to the effect that Olivier Jules who lives not far from the house of this doctor to be implied that these police officers placed him under surveillance before unloading at his home. This thirty-year-old who knows the facts and gestures of this doctor has mounted this plan to rob his house with the complicity of the Seedoyal brothers. The bottles of whiskey and the gun were found at their home. The digital video recorder was found in a vacant lot not far from the doctor’s house.

The three suspects were subsequently handed over to the investigators of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Western Division who were seized of this case.
