Must Read

The 1st promotion of the Apprenticeship Program at Sofitel Mauritius L’Imperial Resort & Spa took place on Friday October 13. Four apprentices aged between 16 and 18 were trained in various hotel trades.

Giving young people the means to succeed in the hospitality industry. This was the objective of Sofitel Mauritius L’Impérial Resort & Spa when it launched the Apprenticeship Program last year.

The apprenticeship program began in November 2022. Young people, aged between 16 and 18, were recruited to give them the opportunity to improve their academic skills and enhance their career prospects in the hospitality industry.

For eleven months, the apprentices were trained in catering, cooking, reception and accommodation. The training emphasized both theory and practice, to give the apprentices a better understanding of the workings of the trade.

The four apprentices received their diplomas on Friday October 13 at Wolmar, Flic-en-Flac, in the presence of their parents and members of the hotel management team.

I’ve also learned to be disciplined, and I’m very happy to be part of the Sofitel L’Imperial family.”
