Lakshoomee Babbea, born Dawojee 68 years old breathed her last at the Dr. A.G. Jeetoo Hospital, Port-Louis where she was admitted in an intensive care unit on the morning of Friday December 23. This resident of Quartier-Militaire had suffered serious head injuries in a fall at her home. She died as a result of an intracerebral hemorrhage.
Lakshoomee Babbea also known as Mira was seriously injured in a fall while taking a bath. It was on December 2nd at around 6 pm. She was rushed to the Dr. Bruno Cheong Hospital in Flacq by her son Vikram Babbea. After receiving treatment, she was admitted for surgery. She was then transferred to Dr Jeetoo Hospital where she was admitted to the neurological ward of the intensive care unit.
On Friday, December 23, she passed away. An autopsy performed on her body the same day by Dr. Prem Chamane, Principal Police Medical Officer, attributed her death to an intracerebral hemorrhage.
The funeral of this sixty-year-old took place on Saturday, December 24 at 10 am. Her cremation took place in Vuillemin, Quartier-Militaire.
