Kishore Kumar’s career spanned 40 years. To pay fervent tribute to this great man of Indian song, the Immedia agency is organizing a concert on Sunday September 3 at 3pm at the Caudan Arts Centre – Port-Louis.

Kishore Kumar fans, save the date of September 3 for a musical journey back in time with the ‘Gaata Rahe Mera Dil – Super Hits of Kishore Kumar’ concert. The concert will last 2 hours and 15 minutes.
For Kamini Bubooa of Immedia, the event brings together some of the country’s finest musicians and performers: “Kishore Kumar’s contribution to music is priceless. His voice has touched hearts all over the world, including Mauritius. For our tribute to him, we have brought together the crème de la crème of local music, both singers and musicians. What’s more, depending on the success and availability of the venue, another date may be proposed in the future.”
In terms of singers, audiences will discover the likes of Kishore Khimia, Vishal Mungroo, Varsharanee Bissessur and Vani Tirvengadum.
The Philharmonic Orchestra’s talented musicians include Kenneth Babajie, Arvind Bhujun, Meehir Bhuttooa, Nishal Boojhawon, Nel Bucktowar, Guy-Noël Clarisse, Stephanie Cybèle, Joanna Gentil, Rounal Gobin, Nilay Jodhun, Outam Laulsah, Samuel Laval, Hans Marthe, Vijay Munisamy and Philippe Thomas. Ashvin Jodhun is musical director.
Tickets are on sale at Rs 700 and Rs 1000 at the Caudan Arts Centre.
