For International Music Day, Zulu is launching ‘Kouler mo lapo’ on Facebook this Monday at 8pm. This single is the prelude to an album of 9 tracks entitled United colors. Sponsored by Eclosia, the album will soon be available in stores.
‘Kouler mo lapo’ is much more than a single. Above all, the artist sees in it as an urgency: “The term ‘métissage’ is particularly dear to my heart, and it is always good to remind Mauritians to look beyond their differences. I enjoyed performing this single with Jean-Yves Bestel.”
In the wake of this, Zulu also announced a third album. This one, he says, will be more like him : “I am a very simple person. I wanted United colors to be as simple as possible.”
In terms of melody, the artist has not strayed from his first love : “The public will find the influence of my early days with the group Blackman Blues. As for the rest, we will have to wait until it is released,” explains the composer with a smile.
As a reminder, it is possible to buy the United album in pre-sale : “The album is available in pre-sale at Rs 400. The money raised will be used to complete the album, which is currently in the mixing phase.”
United colors is the third album of the artist.
