Danse avec Moi is featured on Zulu’s latest album United Colors. The video of the song was released on June 21 for the Music Day. To tell the truth, it’s not even a video clip, but a poem put on images.
The first notes transport you right away. And as soon as the artist wraps his hoarse voice around the melody, the ballad comes to life by drawing itself as on music paper…
This is precisely how Zulu imagined and wanted the first video of his album United colors: “You have to know that I love taking risks. I took some on this clip. Its conception, the scenario that I wrote a lot could have not liked but fortunately this is not the case because we had good feedback.”
Chaperoned by Anais Dercy and Ajay Boodhoo, the realization of the clip took a fortnight before the clapperboard sounded: “All the extras are volunteers. All the extras are volunteers, so we had to work around everyone’s schedule to complete the video.”
After viewing, Zulu made no secret of his appreciation, “I loved the video the first time I watched it. I got up out of my chair and congratulated Anais and Ajay for being able to put into images and emotion what I wanted to convey as a message.”
If an album is not topical at least not before the artist buys a new guitar, Zulu wishes to realize other clips: “I am a movie lover and editing the scenarios is an exercise that I like. So I would like to participate in the writing of other clips that appear on my latest album.”
