Suspected of selling drugs in the coastal village of Petite Pointe aux Piments, Louis Manuelito Harrisson Florian, 21 years old, was apprehended by a team of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (Adsu) of Trou aux Biches in the late afternoon of Tuesday, July 19. This youth was found in possession of a plastic container in which there were ninety-seven doses of synthetic drugs, or 8.65 grams. These police officers also seized a sum of Rs 19,675 suspected to come from the sale of this drug.
It is on the Royal Road of Petite Pointe aux Piments that Manuelito Florian was arrested by this Adsu team led by Sergeant Helene. The young man was subjected to a body search, and this is how this plastic container, containing these doses of drugs, was found on his person. Information was obtained that he was selling drugs in his neighborhood. It was during a patrol that he was stopped and subjected to a search.
The suspect was taken to the Adsu office in Grand Baie for questioning. After spending a night in a police cell, Manuelito Florian was presented before the court of Pamplemousses this Wednesday morning, July 20. He is facing a provisional charge of drug trafficking and possession of drugs for sale.
