HSC: Cambridge Says 37 Design N’ Tech Results Will Be Reviewed

Must Read

The results of 29 candidates from the College of the Holy Spirit and eight from New Eton are currently considered ‘pending’. This after anomalies were detected in the latest HSC results.

Indeed, the parents of these 37 students went to court last week when they discovered their child’s results. All these students took Design and Technology as their main subject. But such was their surprise when they discovered that their result in this subject was counted as a subsidiary subject.

This, according to some parents, is detrimental to their children, especially since many of them obtained ‘A’ or ‘A +’, thus excellent results that could have allowed them to obtain a state scholarship, or even to be laureate.

Following this turmoil, of which neither the Ministry of Education nor the Mauritius Examination Syndicate were initially aware, the MES finally took the decision to contact Cambridge.

The latter has promised to do what is necessary.

For the time being the results of these 37 students are not final according to Cambridge.

MES has further confirmed that Cambridge has decided to review the exam papers of these students and that Cambridge will apply the “special consideration”, while indicating that by next week, the students will be fixed.

For the moment, the statistics of its high students are pending.
