Joseph Friquin is passionate about music. Variety singer at events, the 34-year-old artist has released ‘Zot dir moi’, his first single.

Born in Italy, Joseph has never forgotten his father’s native Mauritius. Growing up, he quickly took to the sega: “I come from a family of musicians. Most of my father and uncles play an instrument. So I grew up appreciating music, particularly the sega.”
A variety singer at events such as weddings and other birthday parties, Joseph has always cherished a dream: to perform a sega: “It’s a dream that Mario Justin helped me realize by composing the song Zot dir mwa for me. The song was released in June this year, and I’ve had very good feedback so far.”
The artist also plans to release other singles before releasing a debut album in 2024: “Releasing an album is a project that’s very close to my heart. If all goes well, it will be for 2024, and the public will find sega and seggae tracks on it.”
