The Three Priorities Of Mauritians According To Bodha

Must Read

Nando Bodha is worried about the deaf ears the government is showing. He circulated an explanation following the Prime Minister’s statement on his return from India where he has attributed the high tensions of Friday night after the arrest of Dominique Seedeeal to “certain politicians who act in an anti-democratic manner“. He explained the three priorities that Mauritians are demanding.

Instead of understanding the suffering of the people and bringing relief, the Prime Minister is saying that some people and the Opposition are pouring oil on the fire,” said the leader of the Rassemblement Mauricien (RM) describing the communal allusions implied in the speech of the main concerned, Pravind Jugnauth, on the people’s demonstration.

For Nando Bodha, the Prime Minister must act and not blame everything on the Opposition. “It is shocking, unfair and revolting. Misery is no community’s business. We need a PM who will reassure the population. He must make a commitment that he will act for the good of all and that he will find concrete solutions and not communal visions,” he said, pointing out that it is time for the government to change its policy of waste and corruption and no longer turn a deaf ear to the problems of the high cost of living that Mauritians are experiencing. He said that the country cannot wait for the presentation of the budget “which the people will do until the end of June, in 10 weeks“.

Nando Bodha, as a leader of the RM, an opponent of the government and above all, a former member of the same government, describes the three priorities that the country needs: to maintain social peace, to give back purchasing power to the people of Mauritius and to the poorest, and finally, to put in place a new and more competent government
