In Rodrigues: Two Mauritians Suspected Of Being In Possession Of Fake Vaccination Cards

Two Mauritians who wanted to spend a few days of vacation in Rodrigues were arrested as soon as they got off the plane by the police of Plaine Corail last Sunday. According to the police, the vaccination cards in their possession are fake.

Jean Jacques Désiré Constant, 48 years old, director of Heboun Investment, and his son Jershley Jefferson, 22 years old, were brought to justice on Monday, April 25.

The former is expected to face two charges. He had to pay two sureties, one of Rs 10,000 for falsifying a document and another of Rs 7000 for using a false document. He also signed an IOU for Rs 50,000.

His son paid a bond of Rs 6,000 for using a false document and an IOU of Rs 30,000.
