Teenager Mistakenly Takes Lizard Poison

Must Read

She thought she was ingesting water that was in a pint of Fuze Tea, but it was actually lizard poison that her father had put in the pint to be used later. The victim, a 15 year old girl, felt sick to her stomach and was rushed to the Wellkin Clinic in Mocha on Friday, March 4. Her condition is considered stable.

The Form 4 student, who lives in the Pailles area, did not attend school on Friday, March 4. At around 8 a.m., while she was home alone, she was doing housework. Having felt terribly thirsty, she went to the kitchen to get a pint of Fuze Tea from a shelf next to the refrigerator, which contained a clear liquid that she thought was water. Five minutes later, she felt an upset stomach.

Immediately, the schoolgirl alerted her father, a 57-year-old man, who is engaged in the import and export business. Without delay, he returned home to take his daughter to the Wellkin Clinic. She had her stomach pumped and was admitted to the ward.

Her condition is considered stable. The Pailles Police Department has opened an investigation into the case.
