Qatar 2022: 800 Players Would Weigh 15 Billion Euros In Market Value

According to a study by the CIES Football Observatory, the 831 players who will be present in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup have an estimated transfer value of 15 billion euros.

England, Brazil and France form the podium of the selections whose contingent is best valued on the transfer market.

According to the study, the English player from Borussia Dortmund, Jude Bellingham, currently has the highest market value with 202 million euros.

Behind England, which has a workforce of 1.499 billion euros, Brazil takes second place with a market value of 1.455 billion euros. Vinicius Jr would be the most expensive player of the Seleçao with an estimated value of 201 million euros. The podium is completed by France with a workforce value of 1.337 billion euros and it is obviously Mbappé at 185 million euros that is the most expensive player. Note that these figures and the numbers considered were stopped on Monday, November 14, 2022.

The arrivals

The “Team USA” was the first team to set foot on Qatari soil to play the World Cup, Thursday, November 10. If Morocco will follow on Sunday, Portugal and Brazil should be the last to arrive.  The Americans will have time to adjust to the climate and environment of Qatar. While they play their first match against Wales on Monday, November 21 (8:00 p.m.), they arrived on Thursday, November 10 on the soil of the World Cup host country. On Sunday, it will be the Moroccans’ turn to land in Qatar.

With six days to go before the start of the World Cup against Australia (Tuesday, 8 pm), the French team arrived in Qatar on Wednesday. The French team flew 6 hours and travelled 2 hours by bus before discovering their base camp shortly before 9 pm (local time). They will then have a stretching session before dinner.
