According to reports, Prince William ‘regrets’ having a conversation with his younger brother, Prince Harry about his relationship with Meghan Markle. Prince William thinks that this conversation led to the ‘breakdown’ of the relationship between him and his brother.
The conversation took place between the two brothers happened at the time that Prince Harry got engaged with Meghan Markle after just 2 years of dating. The Duke of Cambridge is believed to be concerned that his brother was moving too quick in his relationship and was recommending that he did not ‘rush’ into things. He told Harry, “Don’t feel you need to rush this. Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl.”
However, according to the royal biographers, Harry was angry that his brother referred to Meghan Markle as ‘this girl’ and was also angry at the fact that his brother would ask such a thing.
Katie Nicolls, a Royal correspondent, explained that Prince William is likely to have ‘major regret’ over this conversation. She told, “William probably does have a major regret over the conversation that he had with his brother around the time of the engagement when Harry and Meghan got engaged. When William basically sat down with Harry and urged him to just take his time, not to rush into anything – what was intended as well-meant, brotherly advice didn’t go down with Harry at all. He felt he didn’t have his brother’s support and that really and that really was the beginning of the breakdown of what was up until then, an unbreakable brotherly bond.”
