Pravind Jugnauth Ready To Challenge Roshi Badhain In Court

At the official opening of the Flyover Hillcrest on Wednesday afternoon, Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth answered questions from the press regarding several criticisms against him and his government. On Angus Road, he answered especially to Roshi Bhadain: “I will challenge Mr. Roshi Bhadain in court after the insults and lies uttered against me”.

Speaking about the Private Prosecution that will be lodged against him, he said he is ready for them: «Zot pe konsider l’option pou loz enn ‘private prosecution’. Mo parti prenant. The PM says that the government has great challenges to face in the current situation, especially with the pandemic and its aftermath on the economy and social life.

Commenting on the incidents in the National Assembly, involving the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sooroojdev Phokeer and MMM MP Rajesh Bhagwan, Pravind Jugnauth said that the Speaker said he had no intention of attacking the illness of Rajesh Bhagwan. He continued with the question, “Why are we not talking about the behavior of some members of the opposition, behavior that is not always exemplary?”

Speaking about the Britam report, Pravind Jugnauth noted that Paul Berenger and Xavier Duval are making “attacks” against former judge Domah while Navin Ramgoolam finds it unfair to attack a judge. According to the PM, the government will react according to the recommendations.
