Pharmacy Owner Attacked By Three Armed Individuals

“Devide to lakes sinon mo pou tap twa kout sab”. This is the threat made by one of three men armed with a sword to a pharmacy owner in Bonne-Terre, Vacoas in the evening of Monday, October 25. Tetanized, this 43-year-old man living in St-Jacques, Flic en Flac had no other choice than to comply with the demands of this individual and to hand over the day’s takings, totaling the sum of Rs 39,000.

It is in the evening of Monday, October 25 that this forty-year-old went to the police station of Vacoas to report this case of theft with violence. In his complaint, he said that around 8:10 pm on the same day he was in his pharmacy, when three individuals burst in. They were wearing masks and hoods. One of them, armed with a sword, crossed the counter of this pharmacy before throwing him, “Devide to lakes sinon mo pou tap twa kout sab”.

Frightened and stunned by this threat, this man had no choice but to comply with the demands of this armed man. He had to open his cash register before handing over the sum of Rs 39,000 to this individual. This amount represents the day’s takings. During this time, the two accomplices remained in front of the counter in this pharmacy to mount a surveillance.

They left on board of a white SUV, after having put the money in a black bag in the direction of Candos. The owner of this pharmacy told the investigators of the Criminal Investigation Division of Vacoas, led by inspector Goolab that he will be able to give the description of these three men.
