Accident: Two Serious Injuries Recorded On Our Roads

Two cases of accidents, including the victims of a pedestrian and a motorcyclist, were recorded in Vacoas and Phoenix respectively on Friday April 19. The 43-year-old pedestrian was hit by a motorcycle which did not stop in Quinze Cantons, Vacoas. The forty-year-old was placed on artificial respiration at Victoria Hospital, Candos. In Palmerstone, Phoenix, a van hit a motorcyclist. The latter, aged 49 and living in Highlands, was admitted to Candos hospital.

11:20 a.m. on Friday April 19, a 43-year-old woman was in School Lane, Quinze Cantons, Vacoas when she was struck down by a motorcycle. Seriously injured, the forty-year-old was thrown onto the asphalt. The driver of the motorcycle had to blow off the horn to escape. The injured woman was taken to hospital by her husband. According to the National Land Transport Authority database, the two wheels involved in this accident are the property of a resident of Hollyrood, Vacoas.

On Friday April 19 at around 2:15 p.m., a 49-year-old motorcyclist was traveling on Palmerstone Road, Phoenix when he was involved in an accident with a van. The motorcyclist living on Route Tout Court, Highlands was taken to Candos hospital by volunteers. After receiving treatment, he was admitted to the ward. His state of health is considered serious. A breathalyzer test was carried out on the driver of the van, aged 48 and living in Angrais Cathan, Eau-Coulée, as well as on the motorcyclist, which turned out to be negative.
