According to the meteo, a Heavy Rainfall Watch for Mauritius issued at 04h45 this Tuesday 07 March 2023 valid from 12h00 until 18h00 this evening. Thus there is the risk that the weather will deteriorate during the course of the day, the schools will remain closed this Tuesday.
The Ministry of Education informs the public that there will be no classes in pre-primary, primary, secondary, SEN (Special Education Needs) schools, technical and vocational education centers including those of MITD and Polytechnics Mauritius as well as higher education institutions on Tuesday 07 March 2023. Heads of schools and non-teaching staff are expected to visit their respective schools/centers for an assessment.
