Nigerian Rapper Oladips Dies At 28

Must Read

Oladipupo Olabode Oladimenji, also known as Oladips, a prominent Nigerian pop artist, passed away at the age of 28.

A message on his Instagram profile states that he died on Tuesday at precisely 10:14 pm. Social media users shared videos of the Lalakukulala crooner appearing to fall as his pals encircled him in the late hours of yesterday.

Oladips had appealed for assistance on his Instagram stories prior to the video becoming viral.

He asked where one of his buddies, @onlyonelifetime, was in the post mentioning him. The rapper bemoaned the fact that he had called the buddy many times and that they were aware of his dislike of being left alone in the house, particularly given his health.

Oladips had kept his “battles within himself” for more than two years, according to the statement. Oladips’s family is still holding his remains, and funeral arrangements will soon be made public.

Who was Oladips?

Rapping on political problems such as the ENDSars rallies against police brutality, Oladips was a gifted musician. In his songs, he also discussed depression and mental health.

Oladips became well-known after winning the 2015 King is Here rap competition, which was organised by DBanj, a well-known Nigerian musician.
