Mauritius Nano Satellite In Space on June 20, Minister Balgobin Announces

The Minister of Technology, Communication and Innovation (ICT), Deepak Balgobin announced to Parliament yesterday the 16 of June,  that the Mauritian nano satellite will be deployed in space on June 20.

The minister also intends to computerize the health system through an E-Service System. It intends to introduce the reservation of parking spaces online. A new, much more sophisticated system will also replace the current system that issues national identity cards.

The Minister of Tics also announced that the Children Innovative learning and design program will be introduced so that children can familiarise themselves with robotics. Students will have the opportunity to assemble robots in schools, the minister said.

MIR SAT 1 was launched aboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 from Kennedy Kennedy Space Centre in Florida on June 3, 2021.
