Eurovision winners, Måneskin is an Italian rock band. The group’s line-up consists of vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio. Performing on the streets in the early years paid off. As they won the Eurovision 2021, they started becoming famous and started singing on stage not on the streets. With two of their most famous songs “Beggin’” and “I wanna be your slave”. Måneskin is a critically acclaimed band featuring vocalist Damiano, bassist Victoria, guitarist Thomas and Ethan on drums. The members have known each other since middle school but didn’t establish the band until 2015, when they brought together their musical influences, from rock and rap, to reggae, funk and pop. They took their band name from the Danish word for ‘moonlight’, as a tribute to their bassist Victoria’s home country.
Their international breakthrough ensued when the foursome won Eurovision song contest 2021 for Italy with the song “zitti e buoni”. In 2021, Måneskin became the first Italian band to reach top 10 on the UK Singles Chart. The group is a translation of the music of the past into modernity. Måneskin have been classified as a pop rock, alternative rock, glam rock, and hard rock. Their style changed sound with funk influences.
