Barely launched on 21 March, Linon Pep Moricien unveils its strategy to put pressure on the government by proposing extra parliamentary questions (EPQ) via the press and social media, thus implying not only a follow-up but also pressure from the general public. The party released a 23-page document on Friday 25 March to support their vision and action plan. They believe that change must be at all levels and will propose a new 100% Mauritian constitution on 07 August.
The GM targeted every Mauritian
Linion Pep Morisien’s goal: “To find sustainable solutions, rather than quick fixes, keeping in mind our complex external world and current trends. The party is mainly made up of Rama Valayden’s GREA (Groupe réflexion Emmanuel Anquetil), Dev Sunnasy’s 100% Citoyens, Bruneau Laurette’s Linion Sitwayin and Jean-Claude Barbier’s Mouvement Patriotique (MP).
The party’s target, the minister in question who will be affected by the issue or according to the more detailed clarifications on his own answer to a parliamentary question (PNQ). Using the press and various social networks, they will be able to highlight all those questions that are taken less seriously by parliamentarians or subjects that are dodged or with unclear answers or suggest a long period of waiting until they are forgotten!

In sum, their ‘battle horses’ – the creation of an anti-corruption court to combat the Police, Judiciary and ICAC and achieve the Freedom of Information Act, the establishment of an Open Government where there will be real transparency, empowerment of institutions such as the Audit Office and the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), Export and realisation of the Cannabis and Hemp industries, more optimal e-services, reform of several political, electoral, social and economic systems as a matter of priority. There is a whole series of changes to be made, according to Linion Pep Morisien. They are working towards creating a new 100% Mauritian Constitution. They have already set the date of 07 August 2022 in commemoration of 07 August 1967, the date of the revolutionary elections leading to our political Independence.
