Hurreeram No Longer Wishes To Proceed With His Complaint Of Theft And Assault

Must Read

“We are in a time of prayer… We must forgive!” This is what Minister Bobby Hurreeram said as he left the Port Louis District court. Earlier, he said in court that he no longer wishes to proceed with his complaint of robbery and assault against two St. Croix residents. He accused Giovanni Nathanael Pierre of pushing him and ripping off his gold chain. As for Eddy Chenny, he is accused of assaulting the minister’s cousin. The case dates to February 2019 in Sainte-Croix. The first suspect is represented by Mr Shakeel Mohamed and Mr Neeven Parsooramen while the second is represented by Mr Jean-Claude Bibi. Ravi Rutnah is acting as a “watching brief” for Minister Bobby Hurreeram. After the statement of Bobby Hurreeram, Mr Shakeel Mohamed asked him if everything he had said was the truth. The prosecution objected to this question. This will be debated in November. As a result, the case against the two defendants has not been struck out.
