A mechanic from Camp de Masque filed a complaint of adultery at his village police station on Tuesday evening, 16 August. He caught a policeman posted at the Camp de Masque police station having sex with his wife in the early evening.
The 37-year-old man reported the incident to the police shortly before 10.30pm on Tuesday 16 August. In his statement, he explained that he was returning from his mother-in-law’s house after picking up his two children at around 7:20pm, when he found a gold Nissan car in his garage. After checking discreetly in his yard, he entered his house. In his bedroom, he must have been stunned to see his wife and the 36-year-old policeman having a good time.
He says he waited for them to get dressed and asked the policeman to explain his presence at his home. The policeman, he said, tried to leave. The mechanic said he managed to get the ignition key to his car and called the police at the Camp de Masque police station.
His wife has since left the marital home and moved in with her parents. The police say there is no police case against the officer, who was invited by the complainant’s wife. On that day, the policeman was ‘off duty’.
