The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, Science and Technology informs the public that the Grade 7 secondary school registration exercise for January 2024, parents of Grade 6, and Grade 5 and Grade 7 Extended Programme students taking part in PSAC 2023, begins this week. Parents are asked to visit their child’s current school on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, between 09:00 and 15:00.
They will be given the following documents:
- an informative brochure on Grade 7 admission procedures ;
- a guide to enrolling their child in Grade 7 at a secondary school
- secondary school in January 2024; and
- the original and a copy of the registration form.
Parents will be invited by the school principal to a meeting at which they will receive information and explanations about the enrolment procedures and the admission exercise. The day and time of this meeting will be communicated to them by the school principal.
Parents must complete and return the original registration form to the school principal no later than Friday, August 4, 2023. They should bring the completed form and their identity card to the school.
NOTE: School staff will be on hand to advise and guide parents who need help filling in the form.
