The Crown is a historical drama which streams on Netflix that revolves around the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Different seasons give a brief about the various periods of the Queen’s reign. The first season portrays her union with Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The next seasons cover Suez Crisis of 1956, the period from 1964 to 1977, and the union of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. 4. The King’s Speech (2010)

The movie is set in the years immediately prior to World War II. The film showcases Elizabeth II before she was made a monarch. The film came in the nominations for eight Oscars in 2011 and won four of them.

It is a biographical drama specifically highlighting events that followed the death of Princess Diana.
