Must Read

A team of police officers was called to a state middle school in the north of the country on the afternoon of Thursday, June 30, after a teacher caught a student handing a paper containing cannabis to one of his classmates. The latter had to incriminate another student of having given him this drug first while the accused student had to say, in turn, that he bought this drug for the sum of Rs 400 with another classmate.

In a deposition made at the Terre-Rouge police station in the afternoon of Thursday, June 30, the 49-year-old teacher explained that he was replacing an absent colleague in this grade 9 “extended stream” class in fourth period when he caught a 15-year-old student handing a piece of paper to his classmate of the same age.

Both youths were taken to the principal’s office before the police were alerted. The first one questioned had to make allegations against one of his classmates with whom he said he had obtained the drug. This 17 year old classmate, in turn, incriminated another 14 year old student from whom he said he bought the drug for the sum of Rs 400. The backpack of the latter was searched by police officers. This exercise made it possible to discover a certain quantity of cannabis and in the cover of its cellular telephone, the sum of Rs 450, which is suspected to come from the sale of this drug.
