Coca-Cola is getting into the spirit of the World Cup which will be held from November 20th to December 18th in Qatar. The Mauritians will thus be able to take advantage of a large promotional campaign around the biggest football event.
Promotional offers, collector’s packs, and a series of animations. The local branch of Coca-Cola has thought of everything to enable Mauritians to experience the World Cup with the same intensity.
In his speech at the kick-off ceremony at the Icone Ebène Rooftop, Stephan Cupidon -Frontline Marketing Portfolio Activation Senior Manager, recalled that the company wanted its consumers to experience a magical month: “Allowing our consumers to experience all the magic of the Coca-Cola brand during the FIFA World Cup is our goal; to do this, we plan in the coming days to install viewing centers in key points of the island that will be associated with animations to win Coca-Cola souvenirs,” he said.
The Panini brand is also partnering with the campaign to provide the public with a number of giveaways during the events.
To take part in the promotion, consumers will have to buy two 1.5-litre bottles of Coke, Fanta or Sprite, in order to exchange two promotional caps for a bag of Panini stickers.
Coca-Cola has also adapted the packaging. The public will discover on the 50 cl bottles fun and playful resolutions called “If my Team Wins”.
On the other hand, the 1L and 1.5L bottles will have Coca-Cola & FIFA design labels. On the 2L bottles, Mauritians will find the flags of the participating countries.
