Environment: Envicleen Ltd Launches Its First Reverse Vending Machine

Must Read

Envicleen Ltd is a pioneering company in the field of ecology and recycling. On August 11, the company launched its first Reverse Vending Machine (RVM). Dubbed ‘PET-UN-BIN’, this machine will exchange your empty bottles or cans for vouchers or donations to support ecological actions.

Operational since 2021, Envicleen is stepping up its commitment to preserving the environment and promoting eco-citizenship with the launch of its RVM on August 11 at La Piazza Vivea Business Park in Moka.

So, by inserting empty beverage containers into the machine, you can choose between receiving vouchers or using them to make a donation and support an ecological cause.

For Envicleen director Deeshvy Ragpot, this RVM will make recycling easier: “Our aim is to make recycling easier for every Mauritian citizen and to create a culture of eco-citizenship that transcends the boundaries of technological innovation and sustainability.” The latter also stressed that PET-UN-BIN will only be a success if all players in the sector make their contribution: “Preserving our environment requires a collective approach and unfailing cooperation. That’s why we’ve worked hand-in-hand from the outset with the help of Moka Smart city, ENL, Officea, WE-Recycle to create a thriving and inclusive circular economy.”
