On Monday, 21st June 2021, 408 Temporary Police Constables (TPC) have been enlisted in the Mauritius Police Force (MPF), namely 319 men and 89 women. It is also to be noted that 14 of the newly enlisted TPCs are from Rodrigues.
In view of the above, candidates have been called today at the Line Barracks, Port Louis, to submit their letter of acceptance and for other administrative formalities. Moreover, officers from different units of the Force were present to provide them and their relatives with relevant information in respect of the training as well as the role and duties of the Police.
Given the sanitary concerns related to the Covid-19 pandemic, this process took place following a classification based on alphabetical order and all sanitary protocols were strictly observed.
After this procedure, all recruits shall be called at their respective Training Schools on Monday 05 July 2021.
This enlistment exercise stands indeed as a crucial and memorable moment for the newly recruited Police Officers. The Mauritius Police Force made sure that same unfolded under the best auspices.
