From Bam Bam to Ti Mamzel, Ejilen Chellapen alias Egilen Faya forces the respect by his course. At almost 30 years old, the DJ still remembers his beginnings: “I studied music at the François Mitterrand Conservatory. I was there to learn the guitar and the piano. But in parallel I was also at the turntable.”
Hired in a private radio, it is there that the DJ took music more seriously: “My job allowed me to make very beautiful musical encounters. It was the trigger that pushed me to start composing melodies.”
In 2019, he released his first single with Bigg Frankii and STNB: “This is the song that revealed me to the general public. I’m especially proud of this collaboration.”
Counting today several other hits, the artist attributes his success to his professionalism: “I like things well done. Today my productions have nothing to envy the international productions. It is this professionalism that makes local artists like to work with me.
On the project side, the artist intends to make 2023 his year: “I am currently in contact with Daddy Mory, Majeed among others. If negotiations are successful, several international sounds will bear my claws.”
