Expo: 5 Artists Return From The Comoros Contemporary Arts Festival

Must Read

The 10th edition of the Comoros Contemporary Arts Festival took place from November 13 to 21. Mauritius was represented by 5 artists.

Kenji Massoudy was part of the trip. The artist returned home with a new artistic perspective: “It is thanks to Zee Arts of Zaahira Muthy that I was able to participate in this exhibition. It was my very first foreign exhibition in which I participated. This trip changed my artistic perspectives. Comoros is unfortunately a third world country. Nevertheless, it is a culturally very rich country that leaves no one indifferent.

For the occasion the artist exhibited an installation entitled The Light Box: “The installation is made with recycled cardboard. The work symbolizes the harmony towards which humanity must walk in order to live in peace.”

Motivated by this first international experience, the artist now wants to taste other exhibitions: “I am currently multiplying my research in order to be accepted in a biennial. I know now how important it is to improve by rubbing shoulders with international artists.

As a reminder, the Mauritian delegation was composed of :  Sachin Mulloo, Daniella Eole, Rahul Seegobin, Selvi Chedumbrun and Vick Shibdoyal.
