The Department of Health and Welfare laboratories have completed the analysis of 1,307 PCR tests as of 5:00 PM on Monday, 19 Juley 2021..
- 15 cases have been detected in COVID-19 Testing Centers.
- 1 case was detected in a quarantine center on Day 10.
- 5 cases have been detected through ongoing Contact Tracing exercises. These were patients already admitted to the quarantine center on Day 1.
2,050 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5, and 1,290 of them have returned to their homes and are considered cured.
To date, the country has 738 active cases of COVID-19.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare has also conducted targeted screening exercises in the regions of Plaine Verte, Riche-Terre, Terre Rouge and Cité Martial, which have been placed in the Red Zone since July 5th.
The results of the tests carried out on site today are all negative.
In light of this data, the High Level Committee on COVID-19 has taken the decision to remove these locations from the Red Zone list as of 6:00 PM this Monday, July 19, 2021.
As of today, only the village of Bois Chéri remains in the Red Zone.
