Airport: Digitisation Of All Administrative Travel Forms

Must Read

Is pandemic urging to digitisation? At least, that is what shows the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority’s new, more streamlined digital solution to incoming passengers simply involves them completing the forms online, printing them and signing them, instead of waiting in a queue and completing what can be a tedious and confusing procedure at a counter with all the stress and fatigue after hours of flying.

“Since the opening of the borders earlier this year, arrivals have at least five forms to complete before landing, including three documents related to the Covid-19,” said Nilen Vencadasamy, President of the MTPA. There was already the Disembarkation card and the Health Declaration Form and since the pandemic, the Public Health Passenger Locator form, the Public Health Covid-19 Passenger Self-Declaration form and the Covid-19 Laboratory Request form have been added.

The Mauritius All in One Form is a PDF document that can be downloaded from the websites of ATOL (www.atol.aero), Air Mauritius (www.airmauritius.com), MTPA (www.mauritiusnow.com and www.mymauritius.travel) as well as from the mobile application mymauritius launched jointly by ATOL and MTPA.

Peace of mind and serenity are assured. “This initiative will enable tourists, foreign nationals and Mauritians to embark on their journey to Mauritius knowing that they have already completed all the required documents. It will also make the disembarkation procedure at the airport smoother,” says the MTPA chairman.

On the other hand, the old method is still available.
