The new branch of Lufthansa, Eurowings Discover will operate three weekly services as from next month. The Airbus A330-200 started its first flight on Saturday, October 2, which will mark its two weekly services for the month of October between Frankfurt and Mauritius.
The destination of Mauritius is being increasingly served. According to the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, among others who already serve the country, Air Mauritius, British Airways, Emirates, Air France, South African Airways, Air Austral, Air Seychelles, Turkish Airlines, Kenya Airways, Edelweiss, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings last week, “with the collaboration with Lufthansa Eurowings, we intend to maximize our campaign on the new markets of Eastern Europe,” says Nilen Vencadasamy President of the MTPA. Complaints about on-board service
Eurowings Discover will offer direct flights and transfers to and from all European and especially German destinations corresponding only to Frankfurt. Indeed, the blanket costs 10 euros, the headphones 3 euros and the alcohol vary between 3 and 10 euros a glass!
Lufthansa expands its A350 fleet
The Lufthansa group is modernising and acquiring 4 new Airbus A350-900s that will fly in the first quarter of 2022. They are supposed to replace the existing A340s. The aircraft are being leased from Avolon, SMBC Aviation Capital and Goshawk. They will enter service from the first half of 2022 and will replace the A340s. This is in line with the group’s future plans, which were to reduce its fleet of four-engine aircraft by 50%. And to 15% by 2025. Lufthansa will have 21 A350 aircraft in 2022.
