A sad news has shaken the relatives of the Mautadin family living in Vacoas. A 87 years woman who was found with head trauma and lying in a pool of blood inside at her home in Vacoas on Tuesday 15 June. The woman, Calawotee Mautadin had a deep wound in her head. It was her son, Deoduth Boodhoa, who found her in this condition when returning home. He immediately alerted the police and the ambulance. When police officers arrived at the scene, they were horrified by the amount of blood on the ground. His mother was then taken to Candos Hospital for treatment.
How did the victim end up in this state? The son said in his statement that he does not suspect foul play and he thinks that his mother was injured in a fall.
At this stage, however, the police have started their investigation to shed light on the exact circumstances of the incident.
