40-Year-Old Woman Arrested In Pointe Aux Sables For Drug Trafficking

A raid by officers of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) at Jean Blaise Street, Sugar Planters’, Pointe aux Sables this morning of Monday, March 4, led to the arrest of Marie Pascaline Jennyfer Duarte, 41, for drug trafficking.

This forty-year-old, who was suspected of drug trafficking, was found in possession of a large quantity of cannabis seeds, cannabis, resin of this drug and an electronic scale bearing the trace of this drug. Pascaline Duarte was brought before the court of Bambous during the day and was returned to the police cell.

It is on the basis of certain information and after hours of surveillance that this team of the ADSU, led by the inspector Fowdar, landed at the residence of this woman around 8 o’clock this Monday morning. A search carried out proved to be fruitful when the police officers found a transparent bag in which there were 107 seeds of cannabis, that is 2.7 grams, a bag with 1.8 grams of cannabis, a piece of transparent plastic containing 85 grams of cannabis resin, another plastic with 36.82 grams of cannabis, a transparent plastic bag containing 970 seeds of cannabis, that is 14.7 grams and an electronic scale with traces of drugs, which is suspected to have been used to weigh drugs and 2 batteries.
