Must Read

A 4-year-old child suffered a head injury late Tuesday afternoon, April 19, after falling at his home in Chamouny. This accident occurred while his mother was mopping the floor. The child was transported to the Jawaharlall Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle on an Emergency Medical Service (EMS) ambulance where he was admitted to the ward. His condition is considered quite serious.

It was around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, when the Chemin-Grenier police station received a request to go to Tamarin Road, Chamouny. A child was injured after falling to the ground while his mother was mopping the floor. An EMS ambulance was requested at this address to transport the child to Jawaharlall Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle. After receiving treatment, the injured man was admitted to the ward.

In his statement, the father, a 36-year-old helper, explained that his wife was mopping the ceramic tiles at around 5 p.m. when their four-year-old son, who was playing nearby, fell. The child began to cry and his wife held him in her arms to comfort him until he fell asleep. She placed him on a bed in the dining room and continued to do the housework.

It was about 6:30 p.m. when she went to check on her son. She was to find that the child had vomited and was unresponsive. He was immediately taken to the Souillac hospital for treatment. He was later transferred to the Jawaharlall Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle on an EMS ambulance for treatment.  He was admitted to the ward.

An investigation was initiated at the level of the police station of Chemin-Grenier to shed light on the exact circumstances of this accident.
