He was misbehaving and insulting the security guards on duty at the Super U hypermarket in Grand-Baie. Police assistance had to be requested in the late afternoon of Friday, October 22, to bring the 20-year-old back to order. The latter, who lives in Roche-Terre, did not want to listen to reason. With the help of members of the public, he was subdued before being taken to the Grand Bay police station. He was arrested and placed in custody on a provisional charge of vagrancy.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22. A team of police officers from the Grand Bay police station went to the Super U in Grand Bay. This was following a request made by a security guard who works there. A young person was disturbing the activities inside this hypermarket. In a loud voice, he insulted the security guards in the presence of members of the public.

Before the arrival of the police officers, the security guards had a hard time making him listen to reason. The task of the police officers was not so easy to calm him down. He was told that he was going to be ticketed, but to no avail. He shouted even louder.

With the help of members of the public, he was subdued and loaded into the police vehicle to be taken to the Grand Bay Police Station. He spent the night in a police cell at the Rivière du Rempart police station. This Saturday, October 23, he was presented before the Bail and Remand Court in Port-Louis.
