The Mauritian Prime Minister was interviewed by IndiaToday channel.
The Head of Government explained that Mauritius is looking forward to working constructively with the G20 members to foster global corporation and see the challenges we face particularly as a small island state during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This morning, Pravin Jugnauth also met Dr Jaishankar, India’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. On his Facebook page, the Prime Minister said that the meeting was very friendly, with relations between India and Mauritius at the centre of the discussions.
Prime Minister Jugnauth reiterated his thanks to the Indian government for inviting Mauritius to participate in the 18th G20 Summit. He also expressed his appreciation for the unfailing support of India as regards the Chagos issue.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister praised India’s progress in the space sector. In fact, Mauritius and India will soon accelerate their collaboration in this area.
The meeting enabled Prime Minister Jugnauth and the Indian Foreign Affairs Minister to discuss the strong diplomatic ties that unite them. The Prime Minister affirmed that these will continue to grow stronger.
