Last Thursday, a French national (Driss Add), arriving on flight MK 015 from France, was arrested at the airport. The Frenchman had in his possession 3.76 gms of cannabis, a grinder containing leaf particles, as well as a vape device and a phial with a quantity of liquid suspected of containing medicine for his own consumption. He will be staying at the Peninsula Hotel until Monday 12 September.
Resident arrested in Ste Croix with drugs in his possession
Last Wednesday, the ADSU’s A team, under the supervision of Ps Pokiri, arrested Warren Alexandre Perrine, aged 25. He lives at No 51 Révérend Père Pivault, Ste Croix, and was in possession of Rs 2100 and a white plastic vial containing 26 aluminium foils with synthetic cannabinoids. Each foil contained 1.7 grams.
The police also discovered 30 folded aluminium foils and a quantity of a substance suspected to be heroin. (2.5 grams), four pieces of transparent plastic, each with 20 grams in a piece of tape suspected to be heroin.
He was arrested under the orders of ASP Ramburuth.
