Telecommunications: Mauritius Telecom Signs Partnership Agreement With MultiChoice Africa

The Chief Executive Officer of Mauritius Telecom (MT), Kapil Reesaul, and the Head of Corporate Strategy of MultiChoice, José Escobar, yesterday signed a partnership agreement to enable powerful customers to benefit from DSTV Stream. The signing ceremony took place at MT headquarters, in the presence of senior executives from both organizations.

Kapil Reesaul declared that the strategic partnership between MT and MultiChoice is a remarkable event in the field of TV content.  He pointed out that through DSTV Stream, MultiChoice offers a vast repertoire of ‘premium content and movies’ such as ‘live soccer’ and other sports, such as tennis, Formula 1, golf, cricket, boxing, WWA and MMA, among others. “This groundpartnership is set to redefine the landscape of TV content and enhance the overall viewing experience of sports fans and Mauritius households in general”, he explained.

According to MT’s CEO, DSTV Stream is due to be launched soon, and subscribers will benefit from the Premium package free of charge.

For his part, Group Corporate Affairs & Stakeholher Relations, Dr Keatbetse Modimoeng, stressed the importance of signing this agreement, arguing that MultiChoice continues to innovate, especially in the fields of sports and entertainment.

The partnership with MultiChoice Africa in Mauritius will offer MT subscribers a wide range of television channels.
