The questioning of the former CEO of Mauritius Telecom at the CCID will resume on Monday. The second day of questioning lasted from 1.30 pm to 3.05 pm, less time than the first day on Thursday 14 July.
“Shakespearean tragedy has at least 5 acts. Today, Act 2 is over. I’m not taking my cue from Shakespeare’s tragedy for nothing. Act 3 will be next week,” Mr Glover sarcastically illustrated the interrogations conducted by ACP Jangi’s men. “Next Act starts on Monday, that’s all we’ll say,” said Gavin Glover.
Throughout the questioning, Sherry Singh and his lawyer Gavin Glover faced questions on the issues raised in the two programmes, Radio Plus’ At the Heart of the News on 1st July with Nawaz Noorbux and Sherry Singh’s Other Stage on the Express.mu with Axcel Chenney on Tuesday 12th July.
The resigned CEO of MT and former close associate of the Jugnauth couple is questioned on 3 offences, namely Breach of ICTA, Diffusing False News and Criminal Defamation brought against him by the Prime Minister on Monday 11 July. More on this, next Monday.
