Available since August 26, Dagger Kila’s latest single is entitled ‘Sa model’. Performed as a duet with Seychellois singer Taniah, the track is the prelude to a smooth evolution of seggae.

Dagger Killa’s singles are few and far between. However, the artist still pays particular attention to his collaborations: “I’ve been following Taniah’s progress for some time. During one of her tours in Mauritius, I felt there was a connection between her and me. My manager subsequently contacted her about a duet, she immediately agreed and we recorded the track in Mauritius.”
What’s immediately striking about the track is its musical composition: “I opted for a mix of styles. There’s seggae, which the musicians and I mixed with neo soul and other sounds. The aim is to bring new blood to seggae and stay as up to date as possible.”
As for a possible next album, the artist replies that anything is possible: “If there’s strong public demand, I might release an album next year. But for now, I’m content to mark my presence with one or two singles a year,” explains the singer.
