Danilo Manoovaloo has released Regret – his first album. Strongly influenced by reggae, the opus also shows the determination of the artist to make music.
On January 7, his first album was released. An album that Danilo waited a long time: “I waited a long time before producing it. Why did you wait? Because very few people believed in me and my passion for music,” explains this artist from Notre-Dame.
Now 34 years old, the artist started music at the age of 13: “At first it was in a choir, then I moved into the hotel circuit. But, the problem was that I was only offered to do covers when I already had my own compositions.”
In 2020, Danilo founded The Mystical. Unfortunately, the adventure ended one year later: “The other members did not have the same vision as me. That’s why we split up. As for me, I tried the adventure alone.
Helped by the Ministry of Arts and Heritage, the artist was finally able to realize his dream of releasing an album: “I am very proud of this achievement. For this I must thank my family who supported me a lot.”
For 2022, the artist plans to release at least one single: “I am looking for a known artist who will want to accompany me on a duet. I have a few artists in mind and if everything goes well, I plan to release a single this year.”
