Rajesh Bhagwan Expelled By Vikash Nuckcheddy

For once, it’s not the Speaker but the Deputy Chairperson of Committees. Rajesh Bhagwan was expelled yesterday from parliament. It was during the examination of the Ministry of Energy’s budget allocations. Vikash Nuckcheddy was chairing the sitting since morning. Rajesh Bhagwan had a question on the board of the Central Water Authority. However, it was refused, and the MP was expelled. Rajesh Bhagwan argued that House is being asked to vote a sum of Rs 98 million for the CWA. He added that he needs to know the composition of the CWA board, especially the name of the General Manager and his salary. Vikash Nuckcheddy strongly opposed this question. There were exchanges and the MP of Constituency No 20 was suspended for the rest of the sitting.
