British Pharma Company AstraZeneca Admits Its Covid Vaccine Can Cause Rare Side Effects

Must Read

According to The Telegraph (UK), British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has acknowledged that the Covid vaccination may have uncommon side effects. The manufacturer of the vaccine has stated in court filings that Covishield may, in rare circumstances, result in a disorder that causes blood clots and low platelet counts.

During the pandemic, AstraZeneca and Oxford University developed Covishield, which was manufactured by the Serum Institute of India and was widely used there.

AstraZeneca is in the midst of a class action lawsuit in the UK due to allegations that, in multiple occasions, their vaccine resulted in fatalities and serious injuries. In as many as 51 cases before the UK High Court, victims are requesting damages in excess of one hundred million pounds.

Jamie Scott, the initial claimant in the case, said that after receiving the vaccine in April 2021, a blood clot left him permanently brain damaged. He stated that this has stopped him from working and that the hospital has even told his wife three times that he is going to die.

AstraZeneca has refuted the allegations, but acknowledged that Covishield may “in very rare cases, cause TTS” in a court declaration from February, according to the BBC. Humans with TTS (thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome) have low blood platelet counts and blood clots.
