Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth leaves the country on Saturday, 16 April 2022 to travel to India on an official visit.
The Head of Government is the guest of honour of his Indian counterpart, Mr Narendra Modi, for the ground-breaking ceremony of the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM) in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on 19 April.
The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, is also attending the event.
The WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine will be a WHO centre of excellence in traditional medicine. It is a collaboration between the WHO and the Indian government.
The Prime Minister will also participate in the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit 2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on 20 April at the invitation of Mr Narendra Modi.
During his visit to India, the Prime Minister will hold talks with his Indian counterpart on several issues of common interest at bilateral and multilateral level.
The Prime Minister will return next weekend.
